Ever since he was a little boy Flemming has been interested in technic and speed. He worked with moped, crosser and built his own go-kart. The interest for tractor pulling started in the last couple of years of school when Flemming joined Team Fox on their trips to tractor pulling events all over Europe.
Team Fox is a tractor pulling team which has existed since 1986 and has drove at the highest level in all of Europe. When the old owners decided to stop in 2003 it was taken over by Flemming and Martin who have run it since. They spent the first winter on building a brand new trailer to transport the tractor. Flemming also made a new chassis for the tractor. He did a lot of the maintenance and the optimizing of the engines. The work he did with the gearbox, rear axles as well as all electrical cords has given Flemming a very solid experience with hydraulic and electrical cords.
The working life started as a smith at Scantrapper in Skjern where they produced handmade stairs, railings and balconies. Flemming got the first experience with materials and the workflow with steelwork and installation here.
At VM Tarm the work consisted of building trucks. Mainly tanks for oil and hazardous substances, together with tanks for feed transport and slurry tankers. The trucks were built mainly in steel, aluminum and stainless steel and with the mounting of hydraulic systems, pneumatics and electrical cords. This gave a very broad understanding and knowledge in the area.
Both children and adults remember the TV show Store Nørd (Big Nerd) with Flemming and Martin. The two creative nerds from West Jutland could more than most. They recorded 20 different episodes where the nerds built the weirdest machines and things than no one thought would ever work. Funny and crazy machines which could sail, remove bombs, cut trees - they even built a fire truck. It was not environmentally friendly but it was exciting and fun.
Then the job as robot and CNC operator at Give Stålspær started. They had recently built a new department with CNC processing machines and welding robots to make the manufacturing of steel trusses more effective. Flemming had a great understanding for the technic behind controlling the robots and the CNC machines so therefore he became the department manager with the responsibility for the entire productions daily operations, maintenance, optimization and expansion of robots and CNC machines.
Flemming now develops robots and machines which are suited for the client’s needs and requests, small as well as big tasks.
